Our Taiwanese interns working at the Aso youth center!

If you read the previous articles of this blog, you already know that we welcomed Tiffany and Linda two students from Tamkang University in Taiwan. This past week they were working at Aso youth center, helping them in various activities.

The youth center facility is situated on the way to Sensuikyo, a famous viewspot for azaleas. This is a big facility where school childs can enjoy many activities from sports to camping. Our two interns spent a week there, assisting the staff.

I went there yesterday to pay them a visit. The place was filled with kids playing rugby on the field, practicing Karate in the gymnasium and so on. Linda and Tiffany were at the campsite surrounded by many kids. They were all preparing to cook some curry. It can be difficult to communicate when you can’t speak the same language but our two interns were doing their best to fit in and help everyone. I was able to took some pictures before going back to work but they may be a little dark because of the bad weather. The rainy season is late this year and unfortunately Linda and Tiffany weren’t able to enjoy a lot of sunny days since their arrival. Let’s hope it will change soon!
