Today, we had notified to go to the “荻岳” with a group of German exchange students and Japanese high school students! The sun is blazing in the morning. The colleagues in Michi no Eki reminded us to bring enough water. There is no tree along the way because the tour guide said that this place used to be a place for cattle to graze.
The tour guide also mentioned that the reason why Aso has such a beautiful green lawn is that they have an Aso wild burning activity every year. Every year from January to March, the weeds grow to nearly 10 meters high, in order to prevent the forestation. This festival has a thousand years of history in ASO. Local farmers have this habit since ancient times. Until about April, the scorching soil will have new sprouts!!

After we climbed the mountain, we went to Daikanbo. We couldn’t see the scenery last time because of the rain. However, this time was so clear!
