Hello from Michi no Eki Aso!
The rainy season has started and today, it is 15 degrees in Aso.
Last weekend was the best time to see a flower called “Suzuran(鈴蘭)”. It is a small flower.
Luckily, it was a beautiful sunny day on last Sunday. I went to a park called Suzuran park where you can see some charming Suzuran.
“Suzu(鈴)” means a bell and “Ran(蘭)” means orchid in Japanese.Suzuran literally looks like a mix between a bell and an orchid.
I heard from our French staff, Franck that in France 1st May is a national holiday, “Working Day” and people give Suzuran to someone special, plus nobody needs to work on that day.
What an interesting story that nobody needs to work on the Working Day! Hahaha You must spend a happy day ♪
When I went to the park, there were some people who were looking for Suzuran. It is a small flower so, difficult to fine one.
A woman taught me how to find them. First, you need to find the leaves of Suzuran then you can easily find the flowers.
This is a leaf ↓
Yes! I found them!
Can you see them? They are so cute ♪
Suzuran park is marked on the Google Map below.
The rainy season is continuing in Japan, please drive carefully and stay safe!
