Hello everyone, I’m Luna. During the afternoon, Ando-san suggested that I and Ringo visit Saigandenji Temple near Aso Station.
It’s about a 15-minute walk from Michi-no-Eki Aso, passing through very traditional Japanese old alleys, you can see the mountain gate of Saigandenji Temple.
After passing through the mountain gate, you will arrive at a mysterious forest path that is completely different from outside the gate. It’s very cool and refreshing. As you climb the stairs, you can see a row of Jizo stone statues and towering ancient trees.
Out of respect, we refrained from taking photos of this small temple. Everyone is welcome to visit in person.
Near the crater of Mount Aso, there is also the Okunoin of Saiganji Temple, which is a enmusubi temple.
