By the way, Golden Week refers to the holiday period in Japan from the coming end of this April to the beginning of May. There are four national holidays in the week; Showa day on April29,Constitution Memorial day on May3,Greenery day on May4,and Children’s day on May5.
Many Japanese peple take paid time off during this holiday and some companies completely close down. It is one the three busiest holiday seasons along with New Year’s and Obon Festival. Due to the moderate weather, many people travel both inside and outside of Japan. Dispite high rates, flights, trains, and hotels are often fully booked, expressways are heavily congested. In central Tokyo,however, it becoms very quiet, and much easier for tourists move around.
Then, everyone, why not fully enjoy sightseeing in Tokyo during this Golden Week when the crowds are smaller? And afterward, when the number of Japanese tourists decreases, come to Aso. Here, you can experience the everyday natural scenery and the warm welcome of the local people. There’s no doubt you’ll be embraced by the charm of this place! How does that sound?
